Getting on.

β€’11 Replies

Week 3.

Just to let you know I've not given up. I'm just putting it on once a week now.

I'm putting in the effort to get to 10 k but it is hard. My legs at the end of 7k today felt like lead weight for 5 mins after the run.

I'll slow it up a bit for the next run I think. My mind thinks I'm still 18,my body knows it's not.

Happy running folks, keep smiling ☺ πŸ‘

Try slowing down. I find if i go too fast I get knackered quickly.

Oooh slow down. Do you want it or not! Is it a man thing! Outside so must run fast πŸ™„ said in Indian chief voice Heap big trouble

😁

In a daft mood today, sorry ☺️

Seriously slow it down and you’ll be able to just keep going. Once you’ve slowed it down and got your breathing regulated, you’ll hit your stride and

Maybe even zone out 😎. Running on autopilot πŸ‘

I regularly channel Minnihaha on my trail runs as it looks like injun country Ex pit tip 😁😁😁

Once you bring the speed down, regularise your breathing, you can keep going Take a mini break if you need to and then run on πŸ’ͺπŸ˜ƒπŸ‘

A whole load of ours between notts and Derbys join up so hours of running. Good marathon training but hard going sometimes πŸ’ͺπŸ˜ƒπŸ‘

Well I slowed down for my 5K this morning and guess what,,, I did zone out. I got my breathing as good as I can and at the end of the run I was running faster than normal. How strange is that? β˜ΊοΈπŸ‘

Well done Gazloc πŸ‘ I'm also struggling to slow it down. Went a very deep magenta shade after my 7k this week so got to learn to do that before I can reach 8!

I'm one of the people who likes to get things finished. I, as I go on with the running, are finding out that getting finished is not the only reason to run. You have to learn how your body works, what you can get from it and how to get the best from it.

The idea for this forum is to learn and when you find something that works, use it and pass it in.

My next run will be slower so I can try out breathing techniques.

As Oldfloss said slow and easy many times. It's time to learn. β˜ΊοΈπŸ‘
