Two boxes! A man after my own heart Why settle for one pair when you could have more?
Anticipation...
You are a big tease.
That doesnt give much away !!
Can only post one pic..
Go on then. How much have you "invested"
OK.. Option A photos.app.goo.gl/WupAHq86A...
Oo I like your chair. And the shoes are alright too π
It is a nice chair. I never sit on it mind. It is for show and benji(cat number 1). Bargain from dunelm
Shoes are cloud aces and are for long mile road running. The others are a little number for off road liaisons π
Awww I really like the sound of the Aces, but I can't bring myself to spend the full whack so need to wait till they're on sale π I did accidentally buy the Inov8s I'd been looking at to try out though...they were half price, I'm allowed.
Yes they are probably the dearest shoes I have ever bought and that includes poncy shoes from Ted Baker and Timberland etc. But I so wanted to to try the extra cushion/support route but loathe to venture away from on.
Not going to lie, I've spent considerably more π But those Jimmy Choos don't wear out like my running shoes, so somehow it seems more of an investmentβin ownership time if not pounds per use. It's a flawed logic, but I'm not going to think about it too hard or I'll simply talk myself into buying all the fancy running shoes!
Must. Not. Google. Cloud Ace.
Oooooooooooooo
Oh dear...does moving up to 10k mean Iβll suddenly start buying tonnes of running shoes to go with my tonnes of climbing / hillwalking / general outdoor footwear?! Was feeling proud of myself for only having one pair so far...π
They look good, though. Hope theyβre comfy to run in. ππββοΈβ€οΈ
I think you will be ok at 10k, it wan't until I got to 15 I decided I needed something that fits lol
Having more than one pair is good as rotating them is supposed to rest different muscle groups or something. Keeps your legs fresher.
Hmmm...am wondering if I can use that reasoning on my husband to explain all my other pairs of outdoor footwear! ππ
I certainly did π
You went for the cloudace. Iβd be interested to hear how you get on with those. I tried a pair on and they were noticeably more supportive than my flyers. Couldnβt justify the price but might end up biting the bullet if I can get a discount.
Ooooooh! I *never* thought I'd be excited by shoes. Ever. But I've been coveting those trail shoes!! Are they good?
Love them both but I thought your last ons got wrecked and you had stones stuck in the soles issues? Are the trail soles better?
They didn't get wrecked. Just got worn, but after 500km + so not unexpected(I wore them last night for 11k). The trail shoes don't have the narrow channel at all and the road shoes they do but they have widened it significantly by adding a v shape to the channel so it shouldn't be an issue, plus I intend to keep these for tarmac.
Ah, you got Cloudventures. Let me know how you get on with the Aces. I had my eye on those too. The ones I like best of all my Ons are the Flyers and the Aces look and sound somewhat like them.
Quite frankly I think itβs time On started giving you and me special discount!
You already have flyers? That's what I have worn out. Do you mean cloudsurfer, cloud X, cloudRush, cloudflow lol
Edit.. I understand what you mean now. No the aces are a lot heavier and more cushioned. Closest to the cloudflyer but with the new sole style might be the cloud X
Edit 2: Cloud X looks like it has same sole as cloudflyer, but it doesn't bother you so maybe ideal.
Lol, read it again. Yes I have flyers (also showing wear but only on the soles) and I was saying I like them best. I thought the Aces sound a bit similar so was contemplating them in the future. With a view to having shoes alike enough to give me what I most like in Ons but enough different to make rotating them viable
