I am not going to impose upon you and request lessons.π€π
You Admins are all too busy as it is.π₯ππ
My son in law is from Melbourne and his parents and 3 brothers and familyβs all live there.
Should have recognised it. πHope to go some day.
Funny I was just thinking for more senior runners how ironic time is, maybe the least of our remaining assets but certainly the best assets in terms of slow and steady and being able to achieve some of our running dreams by simply taking our time.π€ππ
Managed 4K today - rather hot and the field I run through was being harvested so it was a bit dusty. The field has since been on fire but thankfully under control due to the work of the farmer and the fire brigade. Next run Wednesday evening....
I've had my second run West, which was great for new things to discover and a different terrain. Loved it and a little detour took me to 9K. I'm now planning to cut back my recovery run as advised by Bluebirdrunner to make up for the extra mileage while I was exploring.
This is the last week before my op so I'm hoping to graduate beforehand as I've been told no strenuous exercise for at least a week and having read a diary of someone who's had the op, it might be longer than I'd initially hoped before I'm back on track.
So yeah, the plan is graduate this week. Recover next week. Then re-engage in ju-ju- 's plan when I'm comfortable and at a level I can manage. π
Very proud of myself to have completed the first 7k run as part of Ju-Ju's B210K plan last night! It was a warm, hilly run but I did it in 52 mins so v pleased with that! Hope everyone's having a good week!
Been a bit of a lean month following a bit of a complaint with my left hip after a 10k race. Been seeing a physio who has given me some exercises to help strengthen my weak glutes and to rectify my hip imbalance. Did a gentle 5k last Friday with no complaints so going to gently increase the distances and get back to running 3 days a week and to keep up with the strength exercises
Fantastic pic! Just done my 2nd 10K and got a PB. π Going to do a week of shorter runs before my next 10K. Takes its toll on my body more and def need at least 2 days rest between.
Hi Millsie. I went off piste for the 1st time today and enjoyed the experience of not knowing whatβs around the next bend. Parkrun run on Saturday will be hot but there will be an on shore breeze. Who knows what I will come up with for next week! π Have fun all πββοΈπββοΈ
Excitement as I accidentally graduated! I had to push for the last k or so, but there was no way I wasn't going to do 10k at that point. I'm feeling it a bit in my poor legs though, even 2 days later lol
Thank you! Yes indeed, an extra rest day or two will be had. My own fault for being extremely weak and running for probably longer than I should. it was just so tempting though, the shiny badge, there for the taking! I think I got a bit carried away lol
Hi there! I graduated c25k about a month ago (although never got the badge) and have been doing 5k consolidation runs since. Last 2 runs Iβve done the Speed interval training podcasts but running gently for the walking bits to keep my distance up. So, is there a group for c25k grads who are still running, perhaps trying to get quicker but havenβt quite got the kahunas to think about pushing on to 10k yet? Happy to hang out here (seems nice!) but just checking thereβs not a βhappy with 5k for now but want to get quickerβ group. Thanks!
