Determined to have a better run today as 43 minutes for 5km ain't cutting it for anyone. So I headed out at 530.
Only me the squirrels rabbits and bird's. I still didn't get a sub 40 5km ( and I can usually do 37 without too much trouble and have managed a 36 ) but I really enoyed it and managed 6k.
I stretched and took some recovery stuff when I got back to happy with that but couldn't believe when my strava showed people out at 4 55. And 5 o'clock.
Us runners are crazy beings.
Enjoy the rest of your day all. Running early sets the day up right π.
And I've only got 2.9 miles for my 50 mile challenge. Yeah ππ

Wish Iβd gone out that early, i wanted to go this morning but it was already too hot at my normal time of 9am (post school run) Iβm still here in my running gear melting.
Crikey, I don't think I could face running at the crack of dawn. I always thought I got up too early to get a run in as well, but if these guys are doing it at 4am...no. Who am I trying to kid. It's still a no. My options either side of work are 4.45am or 9pm, it's always going to be the evening for me! Not a natural early bird at all. π
An enjoyable 40 min 5k beats all hell out of a less enjoyable 37 or whatever. The single best thing I ever did for my running was to stop using my running watch unless there was a specific training reason to record time/pace/distance.
