I started ju-ju's plan this week but haven't been able to stick to exactly what I should have done. Saturday I did Parkrun with my son which we scouts pace so not a full 5k run. Last night I went out with an organised group from the Leisure Centre near work and we did another 5k but cross country - again stopping and starting because of rough terrain and different abilities in the group. I was going to volunteer at Parkrun on Saturday so I could get two more runs in this week but luckily for them/unluckily for me all the spots are filled! I will be running the whole thing as my son is with his Dad this weekend.
Would it be best to go for the 5.5k long run tomorrow at a steady pace or a speedier 2.5k?

Sounds like you did a shorter run and 5k so far this week so I think you’d be fine to do the 5.5k. Doesn’t sound like you’ve speeded through your last 2 runs. You’re a very competent and consistent runner so know you’ll be fine. 😊
When I was doing that, I did ParkRun Saturday, long run Monday, two days break, short run Thursday.
I always took the plan to be flexible (well i had to as I accidentally reached 10k halfway through). i went with what my body felt at the time. I never felt the plan was written in stone, and ju-ju did say it was shorter but she rewrote it as some people need longer to get to 10k.
