Back home now after the fun and games in Skye and Lake District, and thought I'd give the old treadmill another go, partly to see how I've progressed (I did all my C25k runs on the treadmill put to week 7).
Managed to do another 5k, which was the plan, but found it really hard. I think I am really noticing the effect of the 5 deg incline - pace from start to finish was only 8.5 mins/km (I've been managing 7.5 outside) and I was very glad to finally stop!
Looking on the bright side, that means I have just done a 42.5 minute run on the treadmill, which is actually 50% more than my previous "treadmill PB" from a couple of weeks ago.
And so now, wish me luck... it's on with the new uniform and cap, and shiny new school shoes, pencils are sharpened, satchel is packed, and I'm heading out for the school bus with all the other new kids for ju-ju's "10 is the Magic number"
