9.5k - smashed it!

OMG! i went out for my planned long run on saturday. Well it was an amazing run - i don't know what happened and at first i thought my app had malfunctioned as each km update had me at a pace i thought was not possible. Even more surprisingly i was at pace the whole way round - i didn't slow down at all?

I smashed my 5k pb by 6 minutes! I did it in 28 :-) yay - and continued to complete 9.5k in 52 minutes. I was expecting it to take me like 1hr10 mins.

My friend could not believe it - as i have not done any speed training yet...in fact i did nothing different at all :-0

Can't believe it - need to do this again to believe it was not a fluke but mate i was on a high all day long!

sorry if this seems like a bragging post - i'm just so damn proud of myself i had to share it.

Anything is possible!

Well done, fantastic time and your last 4.5K must have been faster than your initial 5K. You really must have got into the zone.

Performing a bit of rudimentary math means if you had finished the 10k your second 5k would have been in the 26 min range. So that is amazeballs! Well done you :) I want to know what you had for breakfast now :)

haha - just a banana and glass of re-hydration salts. I wonder if the rum i drank the night before gave me extra fuel :-)
