Went out today with intention of trying out 'back stitching' as a means of tackling steeper inclines so returned to the hill that so took it out of me on Sunday.
Despite essentially meaning you double back on yourself it really did help in getting up the hill without feeling so knackered. And (Though admittedly less humid today) the run home then felt much better to.
Was also helped by this video I came across - with a similar exercise (though preferred Annie's as at least then you end up at the top of the hill!):
Well done DebJogsOn .. I watch these too and end up picking bits and bobs from them rather than taking them at full face value. But there are some great tips out there.
I ran a few hills today. Slowly , small steps and let your mind wander. I try and zone out. I find them so much easier when I engage a low gear and stay in that gear all,the way to the top.
No proper hills near me except for a couple of paths down to the beach. They're fairly steep but short so I just did laps. Seemed to get a bit easier each time.
