Good morning everyone and welcome to a new week.

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If you're a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy week,

Oldfloss, Ju-ju, Realfoodieclub, Millsie-J and Bluebirdrunner

Who's week starts on a Tuesday?

Anyway thought I'd reply if only to stop the post looking quite so forlorn. Today I set a new 5K PB by knocking 20 seconds off. I've been doing lots of slow running recently and I want to set a baseline for my post op recovery.

So the target is set. Profile pic updated with hospital face. Ready to go.

Well done you...I think folk are too busy running currently, with all the great weather:)

Slow and steady as you move on..those speedier runs have a habit of evolving :)

Love that face :)

I tested out my fancy new runners yesterday on the treadmill at my work. The runners seem great. Some mild soreness, but no pain. I expect it will take a little bit to get used to the change.

It was an older treadmill and didn't specify anywhere whether it was km or miles. I was really confused by the end whether I had run really slow 4k, or a really fast 4 miles. I felt like I was running a decent pace, not slow enough to only hit 4k in 40 minutes (that's how long it takes me to do 5k on the trails) But didn't seem fast enough to hit 4miles in 40 minutes.

So confusing! I supposed I can check the make and model and look on Google. I'd like to know since I'm on week 3 of the 10k pan and it affects my mileage for the week.

Found out it was in miles! So with my warm up & cool down included, I did 7k in 45 minutes. :D I had it on a 2% incline. No wonder I was so tired and sweaty and red. Happy about it though. Making progress.

Finished Juju’s magic 10k plan on 29/04 . Since then have been enjoying various runs. Did do another 10 k since but some shorter runs too . Is it a good idea to do maybe one longish 8-10 k run and maybe 2 x 4-5k runs a week now ? What does everyone else sort of run post-10k program ? :-)
