Today I’m running in the Liverpool Spring 10K. I entered last year and it seemed a great idea at the time. Many things have happened between then and now. Illness, the weather and recently my Mum had a heart attack and had a triple heart bypass. Training has taken a back seat for the past few months. So we’ll see what happens. I’m running for Roy Castle Lung Foundation.

First 10K race
Fingers and toes crossed for you, and for your mum's recovery x
You have been through a lot but you've got history on your legs and will be ok. My second best 10K time came after a five month absence from running that distance and in the race I felt really strong! So don't fear.
It'll be a hot one so you'll probably have to walk some of it but that's ok, loads will be doing the same thing. Wet your whole head before you go out, wear a hat and sunglasses and pace yourself well and not too speedy to begin with. Forget about the others, this is your race. Then, just enjoy it and come on here to show us the bling 🙂 Good luck.
Go get ‘em ladyharvills ! You can do this! I have done something similar by entering a 10k in August and my progress is agonisingly slow, but determination and sheer stubbornness will win the day, I believe. So hope the run goes well for you, and just think of that bling at the end, and the sense of achievement after a hard struggle!
Great cause. Go girl go! Write us a report when you return victorious!
Really hope all goes well for you - sounds like life has been tough so make this run all for you!🙂
