I DID MY FIRST SUB 30 5k ..πͺπ»πͺπ»ππ
Ok, so yes this is the 10 k page but I didnβt want to put it on the other one and upset any of the people on the first weeks and I donβt think it would of happened if I hadnβt started doing 10kβs in the week ( I do at least one a week now ) so Iβm shouting about it here
Erm . Yeah thatβs about it π€π€¦π»ββοΈ
Off now to strut around the house like an arrogant peacock . Good luck to anyone bumping into me today ...
βWhatβs the time you say? ..well...itβs not my sub thirty 5k time but itβs twenty past 11..
βDirections to Aldi?..well itβs not too far , after you take the second right...id say about 5k away...I could run there in under 30 mins...β

Blimey oβreilly thatβs a flipping amazing achievement and one I can only dream of! Very well done ππ» and I bow down to your vast superiority, oh speedy one! πββοΈππ»ββοΈπ₯ππ₯π π
πππ€£ Iβm only a tad jealous, only a tad. Well done . As someone who is currently taking between 37 and 38 minutes a sub 30 seems impossible but hey running 5k at all seemed impossible only a few months ago . Enjoy your success x
Fab!! Well done, strut all you like as you should be proud of your achievement. It is inspiring to me as a complete beginner to read of other peoples success stories- I'm starting week 4 but still slightly doubtful that I'll ever hit either 5k or 30 mins but doing 10k is on my bucket list! so thats what keeps me motivated. Every run is a baby step towards my goal
Fantastic! You've earned that strut! I glow all day (or longer!) when I get a PB ... and having started out running very slow back in December, Endomondo is very good at finding me something to smile about. Even if it"s just "longest run in May" on 1st of May
... by the way, are you taking any supplements and/ or doing exercises for your knees? I've had awful knee issues in the recent past due to lyme arthritis but they are soo much better now. There are 3 Pilates moves given to me by my physio, which really help (good for knees and hips). Plus a scoop of Collagen hydrolysate 2x per day in a cup of tea is fantastic stuff for all joints and connective tissue ( and skin, nails etc). And strength training in the gym also helps massively - deadlifts, squats and step ups. I'm 57, so no spring chicken!
It is another milestone on your journey and I think it would act as inspiration over on the C25K forum, especially as you have had to work since graduating to get there.
I think so, I try and run 3 times a week. One is my park run, one is 10k and the other is more than 5k ( I just see how I feel on the day sometimes 6 or sometimes 8 etc ) since I started 10kβs my park run times have come down significantly. Good luck with your running, Iβm sure it will happen for you as well ππ»
Iβm doing the C25K and Iβve just finished week 2. I think what youβve done is awesome and you should share it with the new guys. They can only get inspection from your achievements. Congratulations. Keep on keeping on.
