Slowly, slowly...

So I made it my mission to go slower today and to run further. Managed 6K and felt good all through and afterwards. Only finished C25K mid April but had a mental block about going further as always so exhausted after 5K. Slowing down is the way. Interestingly my pace wasn’t as slow as it felt so really pleased. Hmm... I may get to 10K yet (eek... can’t believe I just said that out loud) ☺️

Only takes a little bit off the pace to make it all seem much easier.

Well done you!

Slow and steady is definitely the way to go. It's early days for you at the moment so don't be in a rush to get to 10k.

You will definitely get there.

Just keep up the good work and keep running!

You will 100% get there, it’s not even a doubt , small steps can conquer big mountains 👍🏻💪🏻

If you're anything like me, that 10k will happen when you leat expect it. I managed 8 then seemed to be exhausted for ages and only did shorter runs. Then one morning early, I did 10 without realising I'd gone that far. I seemed to find my pace and my legs just kept turning. You are doing great.

Its the first time I’ve felt ‘comfortable’ running so it was nice to have gone further. I often find the greatest gains come out of the blue!

In the same boat here. Have been pushing for a sub 30 min 5 km, which I am JUST about managing, but today I’m definitely going S L O W, and see if I can get a bit more distance under my belt. Well done you 💪🏾

I did my first sub 30 minutes (though still don’t trust the mapmyrun!!) and it seemed that only after that I’m finally content to slow it down. Much more pleasant- though of course I’ve only done it once 😆
