Hi there and welcome to the last few days of the Quest for this month!

Well.. the weather is set to be cold again over this weekend...but, will we let that deter us... no :)

I have seen daffodils... and those first green mouse-ear leaves on the hedgerows...it is on its way ! We will carry on and try and reach those goals that we set...

There will be a lovely Certificate for you to print off at the end on the Quest too :)

So, as ever...Take it slow and steady and stay healthy and happy :)

What the Quest is:-

The Quest takes one month . You can join any time, within those weeks.

The main aim of the Quest is to help you find a focus or goal that you would like to achieve by the end of the Quest period.

I ask that you will be a Graduate to join the Quest. The main reason I ask this, is that while you are doing the programme, your plan is very structured, so I wouldn't want the Quest to interfere with that.

Most popular goals are:-

To run three times a week

To slowly increase distance

To train for a specific race

To add In Stretch and Strength exercises

As you can see they are personal to yourself and it's totally your own choice.

Every week I will pin a new post, where all the members of the Quest can talk about how things are going.

So if you wanted to join all you have to do is put;

I would like to join the Quest, or count me in, and then I would like to. ..............

Your name will then be added to the top post and every week your name will be in the Quest until the end.

At the end of the Quest, there will be a certificate that you can download to keep.

Wishing you a happy, healthy week

Dear OF, At the continued nagging of my son, I finally went to a physical therapist at a local running store (for free!) who told me some exercises to do to help pain in my leg I have put up with for the last "X" months and that started after I tried running slightly differently during one of my runs last August. (It only hurts when I am sleeping or other non-running times.) I am promising to continue to run every other day and walk 2 miles on "off" days.

I feel positive about this month as I am ticking along with my goals. I’ve started intervals again and my pull up training is now 9 weeks in and I am definitely seeing progress. Once I can do one I need to decide what’s next....

Well, my bum is spreading nicely into this depression in the couch!

I have joined 5x50 though so I am walking for 30 minutes every day. It's not much, but it's all I can do for now. It will get better!

I'm volunteering for the first time at Parkrun tomorrow as well. I can clap and cheer people on, I'm sure!

Markeaton. It's my local - slightly nearer than Bakewell. I'll be the one hopping up and down and shouting :D

Have been good at keeping up my x3 runs a week and better at doing my knee strengthening exercises. Also trying more varied routes with the Spring weather, but boggy muddy paths have slowed me down a bit. Highlight this week was a 6k run - my furthest so far. I'm now looking forward to some lovely coastal runs while away in Cornwall over Easter and am beginning to believe I might be able to work up to 10k (planning on focussing on this during school summer holidays) - any suggestion on goals to work on before then gratefully received 😊

A jolly good Quest for me this month as I achieved all my goals

So: daily dog run or walk (actually a Lent task) - assuming I get out today. It has been hard but interesting. I am especially proud that I did it on some days when I definitely normally wouldn't have managed it and it has certainly increased my weekly activity levels.

Food diary - I was aiming for 4 days a week or 20 days over the month and if I do todays I have done every single day.

10 squats a day - yup, in the bag, I hope Rignold would be proud of me.

10K run for International Women's Day/Fawcett Society which I did this week in rain, sun and not deep but downright sticky mud, with metaphorically gritted teeth the whole way... had hoped to be including a photo of my Virtual Racing bling but it is still in the post.
