Bad very Bad versus Euphoric Runs ;-)

I finished C25K 2 weeks ago and have steadily kept to 30 mins running three times a week, sometimes extending it to 33/34 and even 37 mins continuous... starting to get very confident, then ..... pride comes before a fall.....eugh the most vile run I have had since I started the plan! Could barely make 15 mins, couldn't breathe, everything hurt and I was praying for 30 mins to be over ..... mistakes I made so you can hopefully avoid the bad bad nasty run...

1. didn't leave enough time for lunch to go down :-(

2. ran with headphones, (horrible music actually) so couldn't hear my breathing rhythm

3. started on a hill!

so that was Friday... was actually dreading yesterday's run... but we went to the beach and I trotted behind my super fit husband as he talked incessantly and distracted me ... concentrated on breathing and steady pace as if Michael Johnson was in my ear again and before I knew it the 30 min alarm was buzzing... I didn't stop but ran another 7 mins! Felt AMAZING! JoCo got her MoJo back!

conclusion - there will be a few nasty horrid runs but the good ones are so worth the pain!! have a happy running week everyone :-) xxx

The nasty horrid runs will happen from time to time. Sometimes you will know why they made an appearance but sometimes (and they can be the worst) you won't. But what doesn't kill us makes us stronger 😔😂.

We all live (can't be just me) for the next spectacular run but like the princess you sometimes have to kiss an awful lot of frogs to get one

And... note just how much you learnt from your ‘bad’ run... it’s all progress... well done

Premier league footballers have a bad game, professional golfers sometimes have a bad round that leaves them wanting to saw their clubs in half - it happens.

But the good runs make it all worthwhile! (At least we don't have tv commentators telling the world, "she didn't run as well as she did the other day")! Happy running! 😊

I think we’ve all had stinkers when we've been driven mad, but conveniently we tend to forget those 🙂
