I'm running a 10k end of april, so I followed ju-ju's bridge to 10k plan to get me up to that distance. It took me 5 weeks from 5k-10k but you can do it at whatever pace suits. See the links in the side bar.

Good luck with it. There was a thread here yesterday I think discussing all the 10k training options. Do have a scroll and a read 😀
With sufficient steady training you’ll be fine. Just progress slowly. It’s lovely to take your time 🙂
Same as pinkaardvark, I’m doing my first 10k race in May. It’s good to have a goal and it’s really important to get there without detouring to the injury couch if you can! It’s good advice to follow ju-ju’s 10 is the magic number plan. Slow and steady also gets the medal bling at the end!
