I got lucky with a local shop sale and picked up a pair of new Saucs at 60% off - very similar to my older pair which are at around 460km in now. According to Garmin they are supposed to be done by 644km but they still have a lot of life in them yet, so I will be jumping back and forth I guess. With the short lived warmer weather (snow forecast tomorrow) came the birds - a flock of Canada Geese kept me company on my run around the cemetery this morn - not sure if they are coming back from warmer climes or if they stuck around as some people feed them through the winter and some have stopped migrating. Saw some Blue Jays and a Cardinal too. I am taking it as a sign of spring to come just the same
nu shooz and the birds are back!: I got lucky... - Bridge to 10K
nu shooz and the birds are back!
I love Saucony’s. I am down to my last decent pair of kinvara 5’s ☹️
I was out in the snow today, with the dog, in my Saucony Peregrine’s but could have done with gaiters for them
I noticed a skein of Canada geese the other day and wondered whether they are coming or going. A wistful sight I always think 🙂
I really love my Saucs too. That's why when I saw them for $75 CAD, I jumped at it :). I'll have to get used to the snow again later in the week. The weather honeymoon is over, it seems.
It was nice to see the geese and hear them honking away through the run I wonder if the snow will confuse them tomorrow? I don't think we are getting too much, so maybe not.
Sweet new kicks! Lovely to see some birds, here's hoping spring will come sooner rather than later! We're also due for some fresh snow this weekend so just getting ready to head out for a sunny, windy run. But it's a balmy -7 (-13 with windchill) which is a dramatic improvement from what February has brought so far. Here's hoping for a nice March!
Thanks, yep they feel just like my old ones which is great. It feels like spring today. My early morning run was just the right temp +2 or so - not too cold or hot. Hope you have (or had) a great run. I guess -7/-13 is balmy compared with what you've had in Feb so far. Yes - a nice March would be great!
