So today after labyrinthitis and a bad neck I finally cracked the 8km!!! Threw myself as my app was in miles and had to seek a conversion on my internet π Didn't feel too bad and storm Eleanor really wanted to test me! But the more she blew, the faster I went! Feeling super happy

Well done you that's brilliant! I'm having a bit of trouble getting there, my leg is playing up, but I hope to be joining you soon.... fingers crossed! Not long to the big 10k, good luck getting there
Thank you... I was ill and dosed up on painkillers so have taken a break from bridge to 10k... get that leg better or you will make it worse and hamper yourself long term... hope you can get back on it soon... good luck to you too x
Oh yes, your shoulder/neck? - all better now then? That's good. I'm doing a couple of test 5ks before I try for the 8 - but I'll hold off if in doubt. These things are sent to try us, but actually I learned quite a bit from having to take a break in running so all good
Yeah a lot better... it was solid and in spasm but it seems to have eased... nothing too strenuous on the neck or I will do it out again.., I didn't think I would make it tonight but so glad I did... like you say things try us... we just have to respond and deal with it x
I hear you! That is exactly how I feel. I get lost in my thoughts and music. I find I'm just getting into my groove by 5k and am disappointed if that is all scheduled for the day and have to stop (which was my run today)
I had no rain last night, just wind... I did a shorter run in the rain and wind on Sunday and I have to say I am inclined to agree... I enjoy the challenges π
Fantastic and inspirational! Well done you. I am sitting listening to the wind outside now and wondering whether to go for a run - might just jolly well go and do it now, thanks to you! π
Well done you for getting out there. I have not been able to run since Christmas Eve! Fed up with everything, including myself. Also have a bad neck but will try to run tomorrow morning if the wind dies a bit. Got some physio lined up at the hospital on Monday next. I'm nowhere near 8k yet.
I feel your pain with the neck... mine was agony! Don't compare yourself to anyone- running is your own personal journey and you can only do your best... I felt down on myself when I was comparing myself to others... now I am doing my own challenges and running for me- I couldn't be happier π
