What does everyone listen to? Recommendations please!

I have just recently joined Bridge to 10k, and have just started Juju's plan, so hello everyone!! :D

I am looking for something to listen to whilst running that will keep me distracted, now that I've finished the C25K! Either playlists, or podcasts. I only have an iPod nano so I can't stream anything live or use Spotify or anything, so I'm after something I can download. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I'm also just nosey and would like to know what keeps everyone going :D

I run naked most of the time - just me and my head - with my weekly fix of The Archers omnibus on a downloaded podcast on a Sunday 😊Occasionally I run to the music on my nano - no playlist just shuffle albums or do a bit of language learning.

Zombies run is popular but I'm too much of a wimp for that, especially now weekday runs are in the dark, I can scare myself without any help. And audio books can be good too.

Ooo zombies sound interesting! Maybe just on day time runs though!!

Hello, I have recently graduated from C25k and am also doing the bridge to 10k . I struggle when listening to music as I found my pace changed to the music and got worn out too quickly so I’ve discovered running with nothing, no headphones and it’s fab.

I tried running with nothing once but the sound of my heavy breathing is very off putting 😂

Hi Holly, here is a link to the Sammi Murphy podcast..hours of music at a good beat to run to. Its a run/walk program but you can just use it as background music and run through the walk breaks..

Other than that just make your own running playlist from your fav tunes. Upbeat stuff is best.

Good luck with Ju ju's program😊x

Thanks! I will definitely give Sammi a go, she seems highly recommended!

Anything big, epic, orchestral does it for me. It makes me feel I'm the heroine in my own movie 💪💪💪

I walked into my bedroom last week - all dressed up to go for a run - and the theme tune to Rocky was playing (on Radio 4!?). Made me feel omnipotent!

I rest my case 🙂

I love my MP3 player. I run to Bridge to 10k with Sami Murphy which is all original tunes chosen for their inspiring lyrics. It’s free to download on here

It won’t interfere with what Ju#Ju tells you as sAmi doesn’t have much to say 😃

I’d say that Kenny Loggins Footlose is a must -have. It depends what era you like I had Quo yesterday, The Oriental. Terrible un-pc lyrics but a real good running tune, really drives along 🙂. land of a Thousand Dances by Wilson Picket, Stamd by your man Tammy Wynette is a real, karaoke one. A real belter is Love Runs out by One Republic. Baba oriley by the who

Jimi Hendrix or Manu Chao or The Cat Empire for speed.

But for longer runs it's nice to have more thoughtful listening, so a right mixture including podcasts and back-episodes of desert island discs!

Love a bit of Hendrix myself

Hey Joe, where ya going with that gun in your hand 😁

That's not so PC either............"I'm going down to shoot my lady......."

But he's still my main man.

When it comes to serious grooving, beating what the Man did on Band of Gypsys is tall order. Let alone Woodstock.

They don't make them like that any more. Cosmic magic.

I like the podrunner app, you run to a certain bpm, find it keeps me going!

My new watch has a variety of music, ed Sheehan, stereophonics, dolly parton, anything to keep me going. Would love to download the beyonce running song. I find running naked nice, but harder, more will power is needed.
