Following my attempts to run with our Collie (see previous post), my husband announced this morning that he would accompany me on my run today - with him attached to the Collie.
I have never laughed so much on a run!
As we started running the Collie set off at full speed dragging my husband behind, arms flailing, feet slipping on the muddy path. He managed to get everything under control, just in time for the Collie to realise that they were leaving me behind so she stopped dead (collies don't like their flock being split!). Husband just about stopped without falling over... but by then I had caught up and Collie was off again at full speed with husband being jerked to a run again. This cycle of stopping, starting, arms flailing, feet slipping continued for the next half hour (with a few extra stops just to stop laughing!!).
It may not have done my training to get to 10k any good but as a feel good run it certainly ticked the boxes!!
I would highly recommend it as a spectator sport - it seemed to cheer up everyone we ran past this morning!
