Great to hear you have left the ic! I am trying to stay away from it myself at the moment. Onwards and upwards is what we need to hear. 7k is a brilliant result, well done.

Oldfloss, do you run every day? Laura says to rest a day and my doctor told me to do so also when I asked if I could, but I sometimes I find I want to run every day. (I am 70, btw.... and just graduated a couple months or so ago.)
No..never... our legs need recovery time.. and there is so much else to do on rest days, walk, cycle, swim, Yoga, garden.. climb.. Pilates!
Also an exercise regime is great to... to keep our whole selves really in trim and strong
It is the time when our muscles repair themselves..
Unless you're a 25 year old pro going for the Olympics, you cannot run every day, as simple as that.
If you do then you WILL get injured and as a result won't be able to run at all, will be in pain and may take months to recover.
How do l know all that lovely data? Because l ran without rest and felt l could get away with it.
Seriously, it's not worth the hassle. Rest up, do any other non impact activity and you'll be alright.
