Am I the first September graduate?
Well I was determined to give it my best this morning, despite choosing a route with hills. I was going to keep going the whole distance.
Well I've just looked at my distance and time and am seriously chuffed. The first 10k included my 5 minute warm up walk and map my run ad informed me at 57 minute and 50 seconds that I covered 10km. But now I'm home and have looked at my time for the 10k starting from the end of the walk and I did it in 55 minutes and 1 second. I can hardly believe I've managed to crack the sub 1 hour time. I would be dancing round the house if I had any energy left.
Please can I get my graduation badge now.
This morning I achieved my very first 10K 🙌. Started C25K on 1st May and after 9 weeks of doing exactly what Sanjeev Kohli told me to do (with a few swear words muttered by me, I must add 😂), I ticked that box. Then embarked on Bridge to 10K and today I'm proud to say I DID IT!! Now I am sitting in the sunshine in the garden, feeling pleased as Punch 🤣. Another graduation 🙌. Thank you.
Hi Ju-Ju, hope things are well.
By following the 10% rule I actually ran my first 10K yesterday in just over 70 minutes - nice, slow, steady. I am a bit surprised at how quickly I managed to get there given that I spent time through injuries to get to 5K and at times had to fight to achieve the badge. Only last week I thought I would have to repeat my 8.15k because I struggled, but this week I achieved the whole distance through no struggle at all. Ok, the weather was more complimentary for a longer run, but still.
Anyhow, I don't think I should get the badge yet. Lemme run the distance a few more times and then will let you know how I get by.
Was anyone else surprised that it wasn't that difficult to run 10k after 5k became quite easy to run, either slow or fast? Mind you, I spent a few months since graduation running 5k 3 times each week, practising 'easy' and 'tempo' runs and slowly getting better and faster.
The body must have known something that it didn't tell me
Hello, I had added myself towards the end of the August post but didn't get picked up. I have run 10k 3 times now. Onwards and upwards to my 10 mike challenge.
I completed my first 10k towards the end of August but it didnt get picked up for the graduation badge. I'd love to have one this month. So nice to get to another milestone and I'm still loving it.
Finally ran my first 10k august bank holiday in 57 mins 45 seconds.
Am I also a September graduate??? Did mine in 78 minutes at the beginning of the month...
Thanks, I want to keep 10k in my legs somehow.
Training Run of 10K in just under 73 minutes this morning, now it's onwards to November for a race - and some bling!
I earned my badge this morning in the Scottish10K with a time of 72 minutes 14 seconds!
Could I have mine please rfc? Did it yesterday at Highclere Castle 😄
