Off out when my lunch has gone down. It's not settling on the roads here - and driving would be the main issue. Have trail shoes, will run. I love a bit of snow, me.
That said I'm not heading off to the moors today, but did that earlier in the week.
I went out and did 5km, feel better for it, was going for 7km. Running with the wind behind me was fine but when I had to turn corners and face it I decided 5km would be enough.
Running in proper snow is on McFitty 's bucket list, so I think you all need to get out and traipse through inches of snow, just to say you've done it😎 If I hadn't run in snow I wouldn't have got out in January. We had about 4 weeks of snow on the ground, quite deep at the beginning and very icy towards the end. But it's gone now and the sun is shining 🌞☀️Still no sign of any snowdrops or anything though.
Got up to run before an Art Day... too much snow and uncertainty about what was under it on the lane and pavements ( icy!)
On the way to Art, I passed a lady who, I have seen running in the area for many years, ( I think she must be a Marathon runner, as I see her so far out of the area sometimes..) and she was running on the slushy road edge..( and on the wrong side) very slowly for her . I think I made the right decision maybe.
Did thirty minutes on the cross trainer..not the same, but enjoyed anyway!!!
I did get out. Only a centimetre of snow but it meant that it was more comfortable spending more of the route on a fairly hard track than it usually would be.
