Yesterday, I was hoping to run... no chance!

So, I rambled instead Oh goodie, i hear you cry!

NO RUN

No run today. The ground has gone away

The world has all turned white, a truly lovely sight

No run today, it seems the snow has come

And looking at the snow, I know I cannot go.

How could the weather know, just what this snowfall means

Putting paid to running joy and messing up my schemes

How could they know that the podium awaits

I have two runs to go, I know I'm running late

No run today, but it won't always be so.

I know the rain will come, and then I'll have some fun

No run today, but a work-out will be had

I can make some snow runners, and be glad.

No run today, I think indoors is best

Taking care of him and me and having a good rest.

No run today, but the fire has such a glow

The podium is there and the runs will wait I know !

So,,, there I was,,, snug and warm, Yoga done... squats and ankle exercises... busy work-out day today too, with small runner in training!

But..

If you are outside running, do take care everyone...yes, I know I am an old worrier, or as a certain Admin friend of mine used to say, a nannying old fogey) ... but the NHS have enough on their plates Without us adding to the mix, with bumps and breaks! x

it’s soooo cold! (Part of our house is without heating at the moment, so we’re feeling it in the mornings!)

Indeed, various podiums (or is it podiA ?) are there waiting for us, once we’re get out there safely again !

I didn’t recognise the song immediately so did the mistake and went to YouTube to listen to this. 🤦🏻‍♀️ and so yes, that earworm will be with me now through the day! 🤣🤣

Hello...oh gosh. You really must be feeling chilly! It really is bitterly cold. Luckily small person kept me moving, yesterday.

I lost count of steps!! Heavy rain all day too meant indoor activities!

Hope the ear worm went away and that your heating gets sorted too!

Thank goodness they do wait! I'm trying to keep everything moving and strong. Days where Small one is here help. We are rarely still...!

Hopefully things may improve. I have a walk/talk session tomorrow, so I will at least, get a few miles in! X

I'm glad that you remembered it. I quite liked Herman's Hermits!Your weather sounds worse than ours! We still have the remains of snow but it has rained too...heavily!

No snow here so a 30 and some change minutes run. Exercise feels more important right now though, so I will focus on that for a few days and try and run again towards the end of the week.

We haven't been eased into cold weather. It's been wet, cold, windy, and wet around here!

parkrun was on semi frozen fields... It's a shame snow covers trail routes otherwise that would be the path of choice.

Fingers crossed you get a run in tomorrow!

I didn't get one . The rain and left over snow was yucky!Yes..we don't have time to get ready for the sudden changes do we.

I would love a field run, but could not have got down there! Mr OF is really protective too.

It was bitterly cold. My son in law said it was -7 when he walked the dog!

But...it will come...those last runs...sweet and worth waiting for.
