Parkrun: High Viz Hero

β€’14 Replies

I thought I might volunteer at my local parkrun whilst I'm waiting for my torn calf muscle to heal (just in case I slip back into my lazy old ways on the I/c couch!)

I can really recommend it, we had a great time! It's just a couple of hours out of your Saturday morning and you get to see really inspirational people running.

Big round of applause for Parkrun volunteers :o)

Well done. Parkrun can't operate without the volunteers and they (you!) do a great job.

Nice pic! That's great Pam. MYhusband can't run at the moment due to a knee problem, so he too volunteers at our local Parkrun. To all of you...πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘!

My hubby was running, so when he came through to the finish I gave him his time token and a kiss, but the new runner behind thought everyone got a kiss! πŸ˜‚ x

You don't know how true that is! I nearly clung onto their legs as they set off, like a randy terrier 😊

I wish there was a Park run near me!

I'm tempted to volunteer as my local parkrun seems very short of volunteers, but I just so want to run too! But it's a good point that if we can't run then volunteering is a very good second best, to still feel the buzz of it all :)

πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ for all volunteers they do an amazing job 😊
