Have to confess I have not been having the greatest of times recently.😔 I even had to force myself out for a run earlier in the week when my head said I just didn't want to go! I did, however go out for a plod and of course, felt better for it. Today was a long run day and I was feeling far more positive and really looking forward to it. Told myself to just go out there and enjoy! Which I did (apart from the midges/gnats which seemed to be everywhere along my run😠). Runkeeper kept me updated on my time and distance and I soon realised I was tootling along at a decent pace. Maybe even on for a PB I thought! So, after a rubbish week folks, today turned into the day I ran my first sub 1hr 10k - finishing in 58: 51 secs! Yippee!😀. That has gone some way to compensating for my decision to pull out of a very hilly trail run ( hats off to you Annimurph btw, you are a star⭐️ !) And I finish the day with a very satisfied smile on my face🙂.
