Tamoxifen side effects

My mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer stage 3 triple positive in November 2015 and had been given 3 AC cycles before surgery but since she couldn’t tolerate it and had suffered neutropenia after each cycle even with dose reduction she was operated in January 2016 and was given weekly cycles for Paclitaxel and was later advised tamoxifen 20mg for 5 years.

She had started having fatty liver since her Paclitaxel therapy but it increased after starting tamoxifen.

Currently she is having high blood sugar levels fasting glucose is 333 and post meal it is 434 and HbA1c is 11.4 which last year was 6.

She is also experiencing high level of pain in her left leg especially from her hip to knee area.

Please give your advise and suggestions

Hi Shivangels tamoxifen is largely tolerated well most important is to get USG regularly done to check the endometrial lining thickness I wish the best for your mother TC

Hello doctor,

According to her recent mri she has developed a heterogeneously enhancing mass lesion with irregular margins in left sacral ala. Is it a metastasis? Can it cured?

Tamoxifen does not interfere with sugar control of body and neither is it known to cause fatty liver. This probably has nothing to do with Tamoxifen.
