Growth scans?

Hi, I am 13+4 with my second baby and have seen my consultant today as I am high risk (previous emergency c section for maternal sepsis) she surprised me by saying they want to do growth scans because my last baby was small!! He was 6lb 9 on his due date. This is the first I've heard of him being small, apparently he fell just under the 10th centile. He was absolutely fine, just needed profalactic antibiotics due to my sepsis, nothing to do with his weight. He also never dropped any weight and is perfectly healthy now at 2. I'm 5ft 7 and around 10 stone so pretty average build. Anyone else had experience of this? I don't mind the extra scans, I'm just surprised and wondering what they'll do if he/she measures small... Xx
