Failed abortion?

Hi I've just found out that I'm pregnant & have booked an abortion however I'm worried that it will fail or have an incomplete abortion, can someone please advise me & help cause it's constantly on my mind

After the abortion, you'll be given a pregnancy test to take after a certain amount of time to ensure that you are no longer pregnant, if your pregnancy test does come out positive all you have to do is see the clinic again and they'll make sure there's nothing still there. Try not to stress too much, I've never heard of a case where the abortion hasn't worked x

I had a surgical termination and it failed. All risks changes of failure will be spoken about at the consultataion. Then you will be able to make an informed decision. I hope all works out well for you. X

Wow, omg can I asked what happened next because it failed ? I've never heard of this happening before x

I did another pregnancy test 3 weeks after as I still felt pregnant and symptoms were getting stronger not subsiding. It was positive. I got in touch with the clinic who saw me the following day. The termination was not successful it had ended the pregnancy but not taken it away. I went through the procedure again and left within the hour. A couple of weeks past and things still didn't seem normal I did another test again it was positive contacted the clinic they saw me that same week. They scanned me and actually told me everything was ok. I honestly thought I was going mad. I repeated the test the following week as advised and again it was positive. I went to my gp who referred me to my local hospital, there I found the termination was still incomplete I had retained products, they were fantastic and took me to theatre the following put me to sleep and carried out the procedure. The first procedure was the end of may I finally got the all clear early July. I really hope you don't end up in the same situation as I did. It's a hard enough decision to make in the first place. X

Yeah I will be 7 weeks when I have my first consultation, I think because of the pain and my anxiety I will want to have the surgical abortion with conscious sedation. But my first consultation will be on the 29th of this month, does anyone know how long it might be from my first consultation till the actual abortion assuming that all health records are fine?x

I had my consultation and treatment on the same day. However I wasnt allowed any anestetic or sedation due to allergies. X
