I’m having abortion next week I’m 6 weeks want to know how private are my records at abortion clinic in Glasgow is as my partner works in a hospital will it show up every time I go to hospital or a doctors I’m really worried as my partner has a temper

I'm not sure hun. I can't see it being all over your medical records though it's an extremely personal sensitive issue. Ring the clinic and ask them xx

It will go on your record as it is a health related matter, but your partner is not allowed access to your records - it is against the law for them to be used in any matter that isn’t directly related to your care and the records are regularly aidited to ensure only those who need to access them, are able to do so.

You can request to not have it put on your medical records. I did. Hope all goes well.
