taking the pill over 3 months without a break

I have been on Loistrin for the past 10 months. I recently took 3 packets back to back without a break, I came off the pill 12 days ago, still no bleed. Is this normal? Should I be worried?

Personally I would leave it another week without the pill to see if your period comes naturally then, but if it still doesn't come then I would see your doctor! Hope this helps.

Hi there

If all your pills were taken correctly (i.e. none missed or late) then you would be covered. But if you are still not using your pills then the contraceptive effect wore off after the 7 day break, so if you have had had unprotected sex since your 7 day break you will need to do a pregnancy test at 3 weeks (so probably next week) and that would be accurate. I would suggest doing this at a clinic or the GP as then a healthcare professional can go through your dates etc.

Thank you! I've taken two pregnancy tests (just in case), both negative. Still no period though. I've never missed a pill and I haven't had unprotected sex since stopping the pill. Ill give it another week and wait for it to come naturally-getting impatient!

Still nothing Just took another test (paranoid), instantly negative. Should I go and see my doctor? What could be causing this? Worrying now
