Colonic irrigation

Is there anyone out there like me who has to use colonic irrigation The Peristene system daily? I feel so alone with this and I hardly clear anything out but the bowel consultant wasn't bothered as my colonoscopy was all clear. Any replies appreciated

Hi hasten, I hear you I use enemas and take laxidos for my bowel as it's slow and I also have to take med for my ulcerative colitis as bowel becomes inflamed .

Oh ok thank You. Yes I have slow bowel transit and also have to take laxatives on top of the irrigation. I'm sorry to hear you have also got colitis. It just feels like I'm the only one I know who has to do irrigation everyday . I guess I'm not alone....it just gets me down some days. Thankyou

Hi again can you tell me if you empty out a lot with the colonic irrigation as most times for me nothing comes out except the water or a small amount. The bowel consultant said it's probably because there's nothing in there but I know there is. Laxatives pass hardly anything. The bowel consultant wasn't bothered but I am .

Hi there, I'm only on medication for ulcerative colitis and I take laxidos and enemas as I have neuropathic bowel , sluggish.

Hi, I tried this a few years back for a while and didn’t work for me, I ended full of water that I couldn’t pass, hardly ever got any stool out
