Hi , I post on behalf of my Wife of 52 years.
It started with a routine blood test, from which they said she was anemic and then investigaton started to find out why. Endoscopy, then those awful colonoscopies, which she was told to have at 6 monthly intervals, we know better now , it's more like 3 years.
She had four and the last one was excruciating painful, not long after she became in continent, but of course, it was nothing to do with the treatment she had received even though she was okay before it. She had to have an ileostomy to rest the effected large colon .
About 12 months later , 6" of the large colon was removed and the gall bladder was taken due to it being inflamed.
About 3 weeks back she had surgery on an anal vaginal fistula to try and seal it. She has really been through the mill, and I have so much admiration for her , and love ❤️ of course.
