We need 450mg magnesium a day. You could take 200mg in the morning and 200mg an hour before bed. If you are taking calcium, make sure you leave at least 2 hours between taking calcium and magnesium to ensure maximum absorption. As far as PPI's are concerned, I'd Google to see if magnesium affects the brand you are taking, usually it doesn't but better to check

thanks, but what about the magnesium from food will that be too much if using a supplement.

Adapt it to make up the deficit as with many things we don't always get the recommended daily amount from food

HelloI've been on PPi's for years and have been taking magnesium glycinate for atrial fibrillation also for at least 10 years

I take 400mg every night as it promotes a good sleep as well

I also drink a glass of coconut water each day as it has a balance of electrolytes that includes potassium .

I don't believe there is any contradictions to taking any of this and I'm on a whole lot of heart medication.

Hi

I've taken magnesium glycinate 400mg at night for years it helps with sleep as well as heart problems just be aware too much has a laxative effect but you'll be fine with 400mg .

I also have taken PPi's for years with no problem

thanks, but I have read is that boron increases estrogen in men and if you take magnesium and boron only take one or the other not both.

I apply the magnesium spray at a different time from taking the boron capsules and have done for years so will continue. At my last REMS scan I was told to continue what supplements I was taking and what daily exercise I took so this is what I am doing. :)
