Daily obtain enough calcium from my diet, vitamin D, Boron, Magnesium spray and K2. I take boron as I cannot eat the amount of prunes one should! I love prunes but my gut does not. No idea if they work for me but I have not fractured and my results from the REMS I had last year were OK. I was told to continue what I am doing! I shall have another REMS next year. I also go out walking every day.

Bongomad999 ,The below are the supplements I take currently(my condition is Osteopenia) and have found it very useful. My Z score reduced from -2.4 to -1.4 in a year.

My daily dosage are the below.

1) Ca 1000 mg ( have 2 times in a day, 500 mg each as our body absorbs maximum of 400 mg in one shot)

2) Mg 500 mg ( have 2 times in a day, 250 mg each You can take even more as RDA is 520 mg for a 40+ male)

3) K2-MK7 220 mcg ( Per vitamink2.com.au, Vitamin K2 has been shown to effectively decrease the bone resorption process. The process was significant after 3 years of treatment with nutritional dosage (180 mcg) of vitamin K2 – MK-7)

4) Boron ( 1 cup (almost 24g of pitted prunes daily))

5) Vitamin D3 5000 IU (have 2 times in a day, 2500 IU each)

Its preferable to have Organic/Plant based supplements of all the above.

Barani19, your BMD increase is awesome.

Just want to verify how you did it. You listed your dietary vitamins, minerals and supplements. Thank you for sharing that.

I assuming you don’t take any osteo-meds, is that correct? Are you currently using HRT (hormone replacement therapy)?

And what is your exercise program? Are you lifting heavy weights, etc? Do you use any special equipment, such as the Marodyne LiV (low intensity vibration) platform?

Thanks, trying to learn from others who’ve had success reversing bone loss.

Thanks FearFracture . I'm completely off all the medicines now.

I was prescribed Alendronate 70mg daily, which I stopped after few months. I'm not using HRT as well.

I tried to do various light exercises that increased my back pain. Hence have stopped many of them. I do a medium speed of walking daily for around an hour . that's it.

The Royal Osteoporosis Society has just had an excellent webinar . I think the recording will be available on their site soon. They also have lots of info on the various meds. Watching it helped me decide to go on HRT for bone protection.

Hi I’m on Denosumab and I had no problems. Only on the changeover from Terraparatide. I think I’m due for my fifth or sixth injection in July. I’ve got a Cousin who been on it for years. I don’t know why there is such a fuss over this drug. If it was that bad they wouldn’t give you it in the first place.

I think the fuss is because people aren’t keen on the fact that when you try to stop Prolia / Denusomab (for whatever reason) you must take a relay drug of some sort straight away to prevent rebound fractures. I understand even a delay in timing can cause problems for some people.

I did get four more fractures after changing but hopefully it’s settled now.
