Hi everyone. Hope everyone is doing well. We're still hanging in there. I forgot to post about Jimmy's birthday celebration. His birthday was September 10. We had been wanting to see one of our favorites, Ray Wylie Hubbard, for awhile. For those not familiar with him, he's a singer/songwriter from Texas that has been around for years. He's 75 years old and still a great performer. Anyway we had tried twice in the last year to make it to one of his concerts but Jimmy didn't feel like going either time. When I saw he was playing about an hour away on Jimmy's birthday I felt it was a sign. So bought tickets and prayed we'd make it. Well i did pay extra for the refund option this time LOL.

His good friend Mike went with us so he could drive and I'd have help if needed. Jimmy agreed to take his walker so he'd be able to sit down and have some support walking since it would be a long day. He gets tired easily some days and his legs get weak. Most of the time he just uses a cane.

We got to the concert an hour early and it was already packed. He was playing at a small venue so it was general admission. No tables were available so we got up in front by corner of stage and Jimmy sat on his walker while I stood in front of him and Mike behind. We both had to stand the entire 4 hours but at least Jimmy had a place to sit and a great seat at that. It was a fantastic concert. He puts on a great show and his son Lukas is fabulous on the guitar. Like watching a young Eric Clapton or Stevie Ray Vaughan. He's really that good.

Jimmy was exhausted by the time we made it home but he had a fantastic time. Said it was his best birthday ever. It was a wonderful day because honestly last year on his birthday, I never dreamed we'd see another one. He was on the Lenvima then and so very sick and weak.

So it was really special and a memory I'll always cherish. Here's a picture of Jimmy at the concert on his 63rd birthday.

Remember that no matter how long we have, to LIVE each day to the fullest and cherish every minute. Jimmy says that's how he's beating cancer. Making the most of every day. Stay strong.

Love y'all ❤️

Sharon and Jimmy
