heartburn and wind issues

since my blood pressure started bouncing I have been put on Lercandapine, nebivolol and an increased dose of candestarten . I have constant heartburn and wind pain has anyone had these issues with any of these medications? I am eating smaller meals and exercising with a hope that I can drop some weight and get off at least one of these meds. But would help if I could work out which one is causing me the stomach issues. I have also recently come off Eliquis for a PE and now have sleep issues, it’s seems my whole body is out of synch

Hi ChiefsKC. Have you checked the PIL (Patient Information Leaflet) for each one - if one of them is causing this, it will probably have it listed under the side effects section.

Have you tried taking magnesium at night?

Magnesium citrate is very effective.

I don’t do well with magnesium , it makes me jittery

I took Lercarnadipine for a few weeks, it made me very nauseous - just my experience as I tried a few BP meds alongside Type 2 pills, always a juggling act. Am now on Amlodipine 5mg and apart from some ankle-swelling there are no gut issues.

if your prescribed medication may be causing you issues then it might be worth having a word with the pharmacist attached to your doc’s group,ofmsurgeries. He or she could then guide your doctor if there are alternatives.
