I have been having stomach issues for a while ..I am bloated, constipated and feel full all the time. I went to a Gastrointestinal GP to tell about my issue.
When I old him I was on Verapamil ER 120mg. he said to go to my Dr.and tell him to take me off the med. The med causes constipation and Bloating. I was reading the Calcium Channel blockers and Beta blockers cause Gerd ( acid reflux) so wont be choosing these for a new med.

I too have had bad side effect from all the BP meds. and only Indapamide and Spirolactone which are both diuretics but act differently on the kidneys. These suit me and my BP is about 136/80 and I firmly refuse any others (I am a Dr`s nightmare)
I take these together but i did have to aproach Spirolactone by taking it at bedtime to get used to it. I do this with all new drugs so if they affect me at least i save myself the battle with side effects. I now take the Indapamide 1.25mg Spirolactone 25mg and two other drugs first thing in the morning with a large glass of water, if I don't drink the water I suffer side effects so this may help you. They only nod when you say "I am very sensative to most drugs"and only listen when you return.
Glad I am not the only one with reaction/side effects to medication. I have a "pen" in case I don't get to. A&E. Doctors nightmare, tried everything(doctors words, consultants words) only on thyroxine and antihistamine have many health issues,i.e. AF,IBSC,just do my own thing ,trial and error, nothing else to do
Same here, been hospitalised many times with reactions to medication. Carry a "pen" in case I don't get to A&E. always given a red identity bracelet in hospital,a doctors nightmare. So pleased I am not the only one with this problem. Cali111
