Hi Ninja1.

I took Losartan for a while and it too caused me horrific muscle cramps and muscle weakness which was not good as I am an active guy. It affected my breathing too. I would suggest you go to see your doctor and get it changed as soon as. If you are having side effects(effects really!) you can have them changed. I don't know how confident you are with medics but be firm and polite and ask them if you can try another type. I have recently started on candesartan 8mg which has a similar action. So far so good. It has reduced my high Bp. I have tried as many as six different types. I also take dosamin hesperidin herbal tablets with no fillers. These are extracts from citrus fruits which can have other herbs added. Its an old remedy for vein health. They really work for leg cramps and restless leg syndrome. No contraindications with BP meds as far as my research has led me to believe. Try and work with your doctor. Ask for urine test and Ecg to find out why you have high BP too. Gp's tend to put you on meds immediately without finding out a cause. Ultimately, I want off them eventually by diet and weight loss. But I may have a genetic predisposition as members of my family suffer but do not smoke or drink alcohol. We will see.

I do too and ear but the muscle cramps are unbearable

As an answer to your brufen question. Brufen/ibuprofen is a known raiser for heart attack and other heart problems. It is not good for the gut long term either. If its inflammation you have, look at diet, keto maybe and try lysine supplements. I do use ibuprofen gel sometimes as it targets the pain immediately without passing through the liver initially. Be careful. Ask your Doc.

See your doc and tell him buddy. If he's a good one he will work with you. Hope things go well. Get the meds changed. You are in charge of your body.
