I have just been given 8mg candesartan in addition to 10mg amlodipine daily I have taken for ten years. Anyone had any experience of this please? Thanks

thats usually used for heart failure as well as high bp after 10 years on the dreaded amlodipine god knows whats that done to you and now another drug on top, they no what they are doing these drug companies, cant you get your bp down naturally,diet exercise,

All CCBs seem quite potent so do work but again have side effects.ARBs are also good with Can.being quite a good one but I think Telmisartan works better.Again side effects. Just have to decide which ones you can live with.I find low CCB and higher ARB dose works better for me. Controls BP and unpleasant but manageable side effects. I get BP readings of approx.122 over 82 during day but always goes up to 140 over 72 in evening .I take CCB in morning and ARB in evening.I think I have isolated systolic bp. which is common at my age,over 73.I am happy with BP at 130 over 72 as feel better with that.
