I have had hypertension since 1992. since then i have had numerous types of medication. During the lockdown, the only way to have conract with a medical proffessional was by phone.I wont bore you with a list of BP tablets I have had, but now I am back on Ramipril 10mg per day. BP goes up and down.
You probably will not believe this, but at the beginning of the lockdown, my BP was approaching 180-200 scary, but i have calmed down from panicking about it now.
Thats me in a nutshell. Have a good day

Hiya. It was that various meds were not working and have been through a lot of the tablets. Last year they said that they may have to take a closer look. It does get a bit monotonous. And it all started when England was playing on the TV and I was shouting at it. Then came the blood. I ended up with having to go to the hospital and they stopped it and advised me not to watch those games. 🙈
Hi did they find the cause of your high BP? Don't be fobbed off by Dr's who call it anxiety! There can be numerous reasons for high BP that can't be controlled by meds....I was a prime example!!After a very long battle with different meds ,it was discovered I had Conns disease and had the condition for years unknown to me and my Dr's.
Have you had a blood test called kidney function? Was it normal?
In Conns disease the potassium is low and sodium is high.
you think they would control your anxiety first then if bp comes down you are ok,but they dont, they just give u a bp pill which does not cure the root cause,
when you are first diagnosed with high blood pressure, doctors should (unless the numbers are really over the top) advise you on lifestyle and diet. Lifestyle includes things like anxiety, height/weight, as well as sufficient exercise. They should also get blood tests done to exclude underlying medical issues.
Only when these things have been addressed, and if your pressures are still high, should you be prescribed medication.
what have you yourself done to being your pressure down?
Hi ,interesting post. HAve your Dr's found the cause of your high bp?I too battled this with lots of changes to medication, turned out to be Conns disease in the end,so not so straightforward.
Hello just - typing. I must commend you for all this time trying to control your bp. It's indeed not easy. Stress can actually mess up bp that's why bp is usually higher in hospital. I Have you tried any new suggestions?
