I’ve been taking above since May last year and gradually I have had a ‘redness’ appear on shins. This fades on and off during the day . There is a smaller area on right lower shin with very small orange patches which apparently the doctor said are small fat deposits but he’s not said what to do about either
Anyone else had anything like this
Thanks in advance

Hi. I’ve been on Indapamide 2.5 and Amlodopine 10mg daily, for just over 2 years. 2 months after starting treatment, I developed red dots all over my feet and lower legs, no other side effects though. I saw a GP who contacted hospital Consultant, and was sent immediately for a blood test. Nothing unusual was found and no suggestion as to what caused it. The following summer, I sat outside (legs uncovered), for an hour and my legs went really brown, but just up to the top of the “rash”. Two years on, I still have the red dots, and if I walk a lot, the whole area becomes very red- sort of looks like I have socks on, really weird ! Nobody seems to be able to tell me the reason for this, or indeed seem very interested in finding out ! I suppose it’s a small price to pay from regulating my BP.
HI first time I had meds for BP, I started taking Amlodopine 10mg I started to come out in a rash on my legs and swollen ankles , My GP says they can be a very good drug for BP but can cause rashes for some people , started taking indapamide 2.5mg seems to work well but now over last 3 months have been getting very dry inside my nose and mouth gets worse during the night brushing my teeth doesn't help .
Hi. Thinking about it, my nose has become dry in the last 2 years since Amlodopine, so much so that the nosebleeds I had in my younger days are back. I was also prescribed Indapamide 2.5 with the Amlodopine, but during a routine blood test, they found my Potassium levels were really low so they stopped the Indapamide, as it can cause low potassium. Unfortunately I now get swollen ankles and fingers, so much so that sometimes I can’t get my rings on☹️. Me thinks a trip to the Drs surgery may be needed !
