Has anyone suffered with persistent cough whilst taking Ramipril?

What kind of cough? Dry, unproductive, very irritating?

Irritating with very thick phlegm.

Luckily I don't, I say luckily as I've asthma and Small Airways Disease already. Always wise to read medication leaflets thoroughly as some drugs don't go togethe for ie Amlodipine & Atvorstatin (Atvorstatin I also take).

I had the Ramipril cough GP changed me to Losartan and the cough eased, suggest you have a chat with your GP about trying a different med.

HI, yes I also had a bad cough with ramipril and my Dr changed me to Losartan. Like Doggie says think you need to have a word with your Dr and get your meds changed. Get is sorted because its so horrible having a cough all the time and I feel for you. Happy New Year.

if u do change medication the cough will go but it can take many weeks, mine was ten weeks before fully resolved
