I have been taking my tablets in the morning before going to work, sometimes I forget. What are people's thoughts about taking them in the evening. I also take two others cholesterol and an antidepressant.

There is a long term research project going to to see whether such medication is best taken at night or in the morning as there is a tiny bit of evidence that evening could be better. I don’t think the result of the research will be available for a few years yet, though. A very small (and I’m told not well constructed ) research project a couple of years ago said it would be beneficial.

In your position I’d talk to my pharmacist, my own one is very knowledgeable and helpful. Probably better than talking to your doc.

In any event it’s far better to take your BP meds regularly whatever time of day, rather than irregularly: so if evening suits you then why not. In any case many cholesterol tablets ought to be taken in the evening so taking the two together could be the answer.

I take mine at night, and I have read that it may be a better time. Mornings around here can get a little crazy and can forget to take meds in a timely manner. I just find that evenings work much better for me. Good Luck.🙂
