BP tabs time to take them.

Sorry to bother but just lately, I have been taking my BP tabs at different times per day. I started off by taking them every morning but when going out the water tabs kick in. It becomes embarrassing when I have to keep going to the loo. The rhythm lasts for about 3 hours.I have since started taking them in the afternoon, but again the same thing happens. To all who take the tabs at a proper time. What is the best time you find to be able to take them and not worry about what circumstances surround you.

I hope I have written this out properly.

Thank you for your time.

Ramipril 10mg per day.Ferosemide 40 mg per day

Lercanidipine 20 mg per day

Also Salamol and Clenil Modulate asthma sprays daily.

I would go and get reassessed by your GP. Maybe request/insist on a different medication/ method of control. This is a major life changing factor which causes great distress, embarrassment and inconvenience to working and retired men and women.I had the same trouble with the diuretic aspect to BP meds. I told the Doc I had nearly wet my old man pants(I was only early fifties ha ha!) on occasion and I was not prepared to continue with the meds. I would also look at your diet and its relationship to Insulin Resistance. You may be surprised by how much we think is healthy food is not, and the problems sugar and a high carb diet does to us. Hope this helps.

I was given Indapamide when I was trying to see if a diuretic would work for me (I had side effects to everything I tried). I was told that this was a good diuretic as it didn't make you pee too much but did lower blood pressure. I took it in the morning and found it didn't seem to make me urinate more during the day but I needed to get up an extra time at night. It might be worth asking your doctor about Indapamide.

I used to take ramipril and lercanidipine in the morning, however at my last review my new gp said that both are more effective if taken at night. I now also take idapamide which i take in the morning.
