Gerd and Hypertension

I tend to associate my BP highs with when I have digestion problems.

Do any others find that /

I recently read this rather old article on the connection between GERD and hypertension.

I have found that potatoes boiled or baked help my digestion.

I find that certain foods that are not regarded as good for us like potatoes help.

My acid tends to start mid afternoon and if I don't eat something it turns into indigestion type chest pain with wind in my chest.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease

I tend to get silent reflux too (LPR), it really is horrible, bad sore throats, hoarseness, bad cough and it can even affect your sinuses etc. That's even worse to get rid of.

Hi all, I have watched several u- tube videos by Dr Sanja Gupta a cardiologist from York, he imparts some wonderful information on blood pressure and covers many areas / conditions that can affect elevation of b/p. I find his videos very reassuring and informative. Someone on this site recommended him and I definitely endorse.

Thx seaside18 great article.

Yes he is reassuring compared to many cardiologists and always talks sense.

There's a connection with GERD and being overweight. Being overweight causes hypertension.
