As a female bodybuilder I have experienced some of the highest blood pressures ever seen. My systolic pressure was taken with a arterial line in my brachial artery. 365 was the systolic. During a recent workout my pressure was taken with a digital device. Baseline was 144/90. High of 298/272.

Hi Sphygmogirl90, I'm a little astonished that you have such high readings when you are obviously a fit and active person. Usually active people have good readings regarding their blood pressure, so there must be something else going on. What advice have you been given by health care professionals? Diet can play a role in BP; you may be deficient in some minerals and vitamins - do you take anything for your BP? Magnesium can help as it is a relaxing mineral.

Heavy weights and supplements cause extreme elevation of blood pressure.
