I am convinced I have got interstitial cystitis- if so… how long until diagnoses? I’ve had millions of urine samples, some sent to lab, I’ve had clear renal blood tests and I’ve had thorough examinations of down below and my back etc. is the last thing a scan? And what type? How much more prodding etc happens before they diagnose this? I’m finding all the tests and doctors visits super stressful and I’m full of anxiety. I’ve looked into private but it’s no expensive. Thank you

I am an old pro on this disease. I’ve had it for over 30 years. I was diagnosed after they did a scope of my bladder. I now get bladder installations every 8 to 10 weeks, depending on my pain level. They make my life so much better. The name of the med is DMSO. They catherize me to install the medication. Also, research a diet for IC. There are certain foods and drinks to stay away from as to not cause a flare up. I know you are in the UK, but if you can order an over the counter medicine called Uqora that helps also. Good luck! This disease is not easy but it can be managed with the right urologist and meds.
The treatment and stuff did not help my body at all and sometimes made it worse, don't worry though u can live on with this pain I had 7 years straight toileting to pee n pee only flushing area with water helps me after weeing. Iv seen urology a thousand times and just live with it like many females patiently but consistently
