I do not think that we on this forum should be diagnosticians.

Thank you, maybe I should have worded that differently?

Hi Piscesdreamer.

I am so glad that you posted this. I have not seen upset stomach or sour stomach on any of the symptoms list for IC but it is something that I have been suffering with for a long time and wonder if it is a symptom which affects some of us!

I have a bloated stomach (which is a common symptom) but I also have severe nausea and have an upset stomach 90% of my day.

I also vomit bile when my symptoms are bad. I ended up in a&e this week and was given some tablets for the nausea and they have made a big difference.

If it is bothering you, definitely speak to your Doctor and feel free to message me privately if you want to. I have been trying lots of different things to help with mine and would be happy to share them with you to see if they help you, not as a diagnosis but as a fellow sufferer and support network ♡.

Have a fab weekend x

I am seeing the Urogynecologist this week, then a new rhuemetologist the next day. I plan on asking both oc them about this. I have a lack of appetite, but I am hungry. No food is appealing to me. I start eating then have to force myself to finish. This has been going on since March. I have lost 20 pounds.

I hope that your appointments go well and that they can give you some answers x

My appetite hasnt been affected but I am scared to eat the foods which irritate my bladder because of the pain of IC.

Ps. I have found it helpful to write down my questions beforehand as as soon as I sit down with Doctors I forget everything I wanted to say lol :).

I usually arrive at my doctors appointments with 3 pages of questions lol I am lucky if I get 5 questions answered. I feel like I need to schedule a special appointment just for Q & A. Maybe I will start doing that!

Piscesdreamer these links contain information about the vagus nerve functions and connections in the gut and bladder. It also brings out a deficiency affecting the nerve resulting in a variety of health concerns. Once you have become familiar with them, add questions it may have raised to your list of questions for your appointment.

These articles were certainly an eye opener for me! I will ask for my thiamine and B levels to be tested. Thank you so much!!!

Piscesdreamer take note of the test method for thiamine in this link to request as other "one size fits all" B tests may not give you the answers your looking for.
