Time zones and medicines

Morning,

I'm going to Canada ( Calgary) to visit some family.

They are 7 hours behind and it's an 8 hour flight.

How do you manage the transition of taking medication at different time zones? Should I take other precautions for flying? ( had a HA in 2023).

I take lansoprazole, aspirin, bisoprolol and apixaban in the morning.

Then ramipril, apixaban and statin in the evening.

many thanks:)

I went to Japan last year and had the same problem. The pharmacist advised me to stick with British time for your meds wherever possible. I had to adjust that a bit to account for sleep time, but it seemed to work. The important thing is not to miss your meds. Have a good holiday

personally, I adjusted the times I took the medication (with food) similar to yours by two to three hours each day, both getting there and getting back. Because I normally have a nap in the afternoon it wasn’t a problem because the nap reminded me, along with reminders on my watch or phone.

But I’ve also gone cold turkey and just taken the meds at 8 a.m. wherever I am - except on the return when I adjusted over two days by three hours or so.
