Hello there,
I've been having trouble with my blood pressure over the years. It's been very high for some time, but has gotten worse.
To the point where I passed out and collasped back in October due to Postural Hypotension, and broke my leg and ankle because of the fall.
Even though I've always had high blood pressure, so that was a shock to be honest.
I was in hospital for over two weeks to get it back up from 48/29 to normal. Which it did but still dropped again low. So went on meds to increase it. After a few more days, I was better and discharged.
We shall fast forward to January 2025, where all of sudden I could feel my heart racing all the time, but didn't do anything about it to be honest. Stubborn bloke.
But I was gradually feeling tired all the time, sweating buckets at night, but dehydrated every morning.
So I started taking my blood pressure again, and this time it was 288/140 and down and up all the time.
I got in at the GP that day, and he checked the bp and called an ambulance and sent me to A&E. I was there two days, and they stopped the Hypotension meds, and reintroduced 3 meds for the hypertension. Which were stopped in October.
But my blood pressure is still over 200/130 at times. And the focs worried about that it may trigger low bp again. So its a catch 22, situation...
I also read that I have cardiovascular disease 10 year risk score of 47.2%. Which i just dont understand. Is this all caused by high bp. Most of my family has passed away before age of 60 of heart problems, and I'm 53 years of age.
So I've no clue what to do.
